How Nareeda Brewed Her Way to Success on Palm Island

Some success stories just hit differently and Nareeda’s journey is one of those stories that reminds us why real training and real outcomes matter.

Sixteen months ago, Nareeda travelled from Palm Island to Townsville with one goal in mind: to complete her nationally recognised Barista training with Equality Education. Like many of our incredible students from regional and remote communities, she came determined, focused and ready to gain the skills that would open new doors back home.

From the moment she stepped into the training room in Townsville, Nareeda showed natural talent, great attention to detail and a genuine passion for learning. She absorbed every part of the course, from perfecting espresso extraction to steaming silky milk and building confidence behind the machine. Her warm personality, steady hands and growing confidence made her stand out.

By the end of the course, she walked out not just with a certificate, but with pride, new skills and a pathway to meaningful employment.

And she didn’t waste a second.

Returning to Palm Island, Nareeda put her training straight into action, taking on a Barista role and becoming part of the growing hospitality culture in her community. She has been serving locals, visitors and staff with consistency, professionalism and a big smile, proving the power of proper hands-on training.

But this morning was something special.

Arty, her trainer and the Founder of Equality Education, travelled to Palm Island to deliver more courses and stopped in for a hot chocolate. To his surprise and pride, he was served by none other than Nareeda herself. And her hot chocolate?
One of the best he has ever had.
Perfect texture. Perfect temperature. Perfect presentation. Most importantly, made with confidence and care.

Moments like this are why Equality Education exists. Watching a student grow, gain skills, return home and immediately make an impact in their community is the essence of Real Training. Real Outcomes.

Nareeda’s story is a reminder that with the right support, ethical training and a trainer who genuinely cares, students from any background or location can achieve incredible things.

And today, as Arty enjoyed that hot chocolate on Palm Island, it wasn’t just a drink, it was a symbol of success.

Congratulations, Nareeda. Your journey is amazing and we’re proud to be part of it.
